The Arribes del Duero Natural Park is an area of outstanding natural beauty and environmental quality, situated on the Spanish of the international section of the Douro. The cosmopolitan character of this part of the river, whose main result is that Spain and Portugal and its co-architects of the historic border or its more recent rediscovery, cooperation, protection and sustainable use.

The striking feature of this natural area is the scenic grandeur of its rugged valleys. A spectacular natural setting artistically carved by rivers that traverse its fertile land. Morphologically it is characterized by granitic landscapes, berroqueños with great slopes, which run steep river Duero and its tributaries Águeda, Esla, Huebra, Uces and Tormes.
