Ciudad Rodrigo is a municipality in the province of Salamanca. At its eastern boundary is at a distance of 88 km from Salamanca, the provincial capital and 35 km from the border with Portugal (Guarda district) in the west. Abadengo bordered to the north and south by the Sierra de Gata.
